Fox family
I am trying to trace the family of my grandmother Elsie Fox born circa 1899. According to her marriage certificate dated 17th Sept 1928, she was married in Stradbroke parish church to Chester Cobb. Her father was Arthur Fox who was a garage proprietor at the time.
If anyone can give me more details about the Fox family in Stradbroke around that time I would be very grateful.

We have a bit of information on Arthur Fox who had a garage and charabanc business in Queen Street, Stradbroke in the 1920s. I will dig around the archive and get back to you

There is some info about Arthur Fox's business in a "Terminus" magazine article shown in the SLHG group page on this website. Go to Group Members on the menu bar above and select Stradbroke Local History Group. At the end of that page there is a "readable" copy of the article in question
