I have been researching my family history and have found out that my ggggrand-father William Chittock was born circa 1789 and married a Judith Felgate in 1814 in Laxfield. Is anyone aware of any other information i.e. William's or Judith's parents name(s), d.o.b, place of residence etc? I have quite an in-depth knowledge of other members of the family right down to my grand-father George Alfred Chittick b. 1882 in St Olave, London. I have looked at the "old notes" posted on the previous web-site and found this very interesting and a good tool to check my findings so far. If possible could you please contact me as I would be happy to share information and perhaps find other relatives/ ancestors of who I am not aware.

I plan to visit Stradbroke soon and would also appreciate any information about the area and its history. Is anyone aware how the area has changed and perhaps have any old maps of the area showing road/ street names - Barlow Green is one place that I am aware where William and Judith lived.

I think that today 'Barlow Green' is actually known as 'Barley Green' and would be just outside Stradbroke...

They had a son also William who married Mary Ann Catling
They in turn had a daughter Mary Anna Chittock who married my ggrandfather Charles Pulham
