Stradbroke Village Website

Can you help? I am trying to find out more info about the above people. Richard Ward is my Great Great Grandfather and was born in Stradbroke aound 1838 and his Dad also in Stradbroke around 1801 as was his Mother Charlotte in around 1805. Their other children were Mariah (1820); Charlotte (1827); Lydia (1830); Emma(1832); Mary (1834); Naomi (1835); Hanora (1839) and David and Louise in 1841.

I know that Richard Ward married a lady called Elizabeth who was born around 1844 in East Reedham in Norfolk.

By 1879 Richard and Elizabeth had moved to Headington, Oxford as this is where my Great Grandad was born in Dec 1879 until his death around 1950.

Any help you are able to give, no matter how small, I would be very grateful for.

You can contact me via budicus@hotmail.com.

Kind regards.

HI Stuart,

How did you get on with this? I have traced a fair bit of Ward family history in Stradbroke back to this period and a bit beyond but can't find any of the names you mention and am therefore interested to see what connections there may be.

You mention having done some tracing re Ward family....would you know anything of my ancestors ?
