This is the fourth version of the Stradbroke Village website, you can find out more about the History of the Website
and our Website Vision
Stradbroke Village website is a "social network" which encourages members to join, create their own profiles and share information and content such as ideas, views, photos, videos and music. We welcome members in three categories:
- any individual with a connection to or interest in Stradbroke. Perhaps you live in the village, work here or your ancestors lived here hundreds of years ago - you're welcome to join!
- any local
business is welcome to create a profile. By local we mean based in Mid Suffolk or South Norfolk and not just a local branch of a large national chain! Please join with your business name, you can put up information about your business and link to your own website if you have one
- any local
group or organisation is welcome to create a profile. By local we mean based in Stradbroke or adjacent parishes.
You are welcome to have more than one membership if for example you would like a personal page and one for a business or group. You will need a different email address for each membership.
Use of the site is subject to the full Terms of Service
but basically the rules are:
- Do not copy from the site without permission
- Do not use the site to annoy, harass or insult others
- Do not use the site for any offensive or illegal purposes
- Do not post content that you don't have permission to post (for example copyright music or photos)
It is best to use the "Report an Issue" link at the bottom right of each page to report any abuse of the site. Alternatively please Contact Us
clearly stating the issue and with a link to any page you are reporting. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org
The site editors reserve the right to delete or edit any content and ultimately ban members from the site if the rules are broken.
If you're not sure about the rules, please Contact Us
and we will be happy to advise.
The Stradbroke Village Website is built as part of the Ning
platform which is a service that allows users to create their own social networks. By joining the website you get a Ning ID which you can (but do not have to) use to log in at Ning.com
or any other Ning site.
Stradbroke Village Website is managed by a team of volunteers. We work closely with the parish magazine, The Stradbroke Monthly
and are grateful for financial support from Stradbroke Parish Council
Adverts on this site are from local businesses who advertise in The Stradbroke Monthly
