After spending many childhood holidays and outings to Stradbroke, now know few people, but hoe to re-aquaint.
My Mother Nancy Mayhew was born in Stradbroke and now lies wit my Grandmothe Anne, local Midwife c1900.
Remenber Winfred Barber and attended her funeral, have photos with her late husband Bill (Didler) & horse!
Many memories of the Ivy House, have visited several times over the years. Remember a butcher with great sausages, an undertaker, family friend, Bulinghams? Please ask your oldest relatives if they remember Nancy and her family from London (Barkingside). I now live near Stansted Arport, but will be spending more time in Suffolk. Hope to hear from old friends and contacts.
Kindest Regards Chris Johnson
Had an hour or so in Stradbroke on Sunday morning, alas, before the pubs were open! Went on to a jolly boating afternoon in Woodbridge. Great day!

A really nice feature of this new website is that you can customise your own information page! When you 'sign in' you might notice the menu at the top of the page changes and a new item called 'My Page' appears. This is what it says - a page for you!
You can change the 'theme' (colours and patterns) for your page very easily (look at the menu on the left!).
Your 'My Page' is good place to put a little information about yourself - eg your family history research or village interests so other members can see it, and maybe share info with you! This is also the page where you can share photographs too - it would be lovely to see pictures of the village for example, old or new!
Have a play with it and have a look at what others have done with their 'My Page' by clicking on 'Members' in the menu!
Most of all though, 'Welcome' we're pleased you've joined and hope you find the site enjoyable.
