Researching my family's history 'PULHAM'S of Stradbroke'
I teach History ( mainly Victorian & WWII periods ) to schools within the National Trust.
I dabble in letting people know about savings they can make on their greeting cards , wrapping paper & stationary . These are exclusive brands NOT sold in shops . The cards are printed in the UK.... Happy to send out brochures or have a look & order online at my web site.
Hi Debbie - welcome on board. The History Group has a page on the new site and we are building a separate SLHG website which should get going in mid spril. Our page on the Village Website will be used for current info, events, talks etc and will also "announce" when new items, images etc are put up on the SLHG site. The new SLHG site looks very good and means we can put word docs, XL file files, images etc on there. Would you like to be a "test pilot"? If so I can get you registered before the site goes live and you can see what works, what doesn't, what needs explaining etc from a user's perspective. We can then make it more effective.
Regards
Mike
A really nice feature of this new website is that you can customise your own information page! When you 'sign in' you might notice the menu at the top of the page changes and a new item called 'My Page' appears. This is what it says - a page for you!
You can change the 'theme' (colours and patterns) for your page very easily (look at the menu on the left) and we're loving the photo by the way...! :-)
Your 'My Page' is good place to put a little information about yourself - eg your family history research interests so other members can see it, and maybe share info with you! This is also the page where you can share photographs too - it would be lovely to see pictures of the village for example, old or new!
Have a play with it and have a look at what others have done with their 'My Page' by clicking on 'Members' in the menu!
Most of all though, 'Welcome' we're pleased you've joined and hope you find the site enjoyable.
