Hello, it sounds faulty to me, there is no legal reason to have the scarer going off at night. Perhaps the farmer thinks he will scare foxes away ? There are VERY STRICT rules for the hours scarers can be working, if it is a problem for you either approach the farmer and tell him, he probably lives miles away and doesn't hear it (!!) If that doesn't work, or you don't know who it is, call Environmental Health at your Local Authority (I think you are Waveney ?) and they will find who owns the land and chase it for you. Sorry for the delay, I have only just been told I have a comment - Simon
PS let me know what happens
Thank`s Claire for the way to edit my name as regards the i . Done it ok. Yes I will be putting up some of my village pics. I have a thousand or so of various pics on "Webshots" under the name of "britisher" if you care to check sometime.
Can anyone explain why the crop scarer somewhere up the Horham end of the village needs to be going off all night as well as all day? Is it faulty or are they supposed to do this? Do sneaky birds creep in under the cover of darkness??
