STRADBROKE Cricket Club require an assistant to their overworked groundsman. Duties include some grass cutting, pitch preparation & maintenance. Would suit an active retired person, or someone younger looking to start a career path. This is a voluntary position, but the Club will pay to attend locally-run, 1-day Institute of Groundsmen courses in spring & autumn. Interested? Stradbroke Cricket Club is on the verge of it’s 30th Anniversary, and much has happened to the Club in those three decades, but it is nothing compared to the progress made in the last 12 months. After what seemed like 30 years of discussion, the drainage of the Playing Field has finally taken place, aided by a sizeable grant from the ECB, a direct benefit of being a Clubmark Focus Club.
