September 2009 - Welcome back!

I am delighted like to be sharing news from Stradbroke Primary once again. I have returned to school from Maternity Leave and I am happy to announce that I am now a parent to a lovely baby girl.

It is always great to see parents and children again after the Summer break. We welcome our new Reception class and eight older new children and their families to Stradbroke.

Easter 2009 Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

There seems to be a lot to inform you about this month, hence the second newsletter in March.

Snape Maltings Celebration of Schools’ Music – I am sure that all the parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters of the Class 4 children who performed at Snape last Friday felt so proud watching them on the world famous stage. Newsletter- February 2009

Dear Parents/Carers
My final newsletter for a while- with a few pieces of news to update you about.

The Outdoor Infant Play Area We had a few teething problems with this which you might have noticed! When the resurfacing was laid it was too high and subsequently the doors in the spare classroom could not open fully! This problem has now been sorted out and we can now exit the classroom. December 2008 Stradbroke Monthly Article

I start with a piece of sad news; you may have noticed that another of the willow trees at the front of the school playground has had to be removed. Thank you to all of you in the village who alerted me to the fact that the tree was infected with “honey fungus”. Although not poisonous unless eaten in large quantities, the tree had died and did need to be removed- sad news as the willow tree is our school emblem. November 2008 Newsletter!

Lots of thanks to be given in this news letter, which just goes to show how many lovely things have been happening at Stradbroke Primary over the first half of the Autumn term! Welcome back and I hope everyone had a good half term break.
