Take part in British Gas Great East Swim 2010
The British Gas Great East Swim is part of a series of four televised one-mile outdoor swims. Taking place on Saturday 19th June at Alton Water Park, Ipswich, Suffolk, the swim takes place in a safe and supervised environment. No walls, no lanes, no chlorine – just the great outdoors. Free swimming is being offered at some of the region's swimming pools.
Free swimming hits Stradbroke
Swimming is a sport enjoyed by both young and old, and from 1st April this year it will be free to all children and young people aged 16 and under AND anyone aged 60 and over. These two groups will be able to enjoy free swimming at Stradbroke Pool during the published public swim sessions.
The free swimming initiative is part of a national campaign to promote swimming, general fitness, more active lifestyles and well-being which individual council’s had the… Continue
