Could I request you play a REAL Golden Oldie (White Christmas or the like), on Christmas day for the Stradbroke people who can go back to before WWII, Say the 30’s? They will remember a pretty girl called Nancy Mayhew, her Brother Arthur and sister Edner. Some may even remember their Mother Annie; she was the village Midwife and brought most of your Grand or Great Grandparents into this World!
They may also remember Bill Barber (Didler) and his missing fingers, driving a horse and cart from pub to pub, he eventually married Winifred Barber, our friend and yet another professional Midwife from the outskirts of London. They lived on the edge of the village. Nancy is my Mother, Winifred my Midwife, we lived in Barkingside.
They are all gone now, but not forgotten, love never dies. Say a few words for Absent Friends and Loved ones, we all have a few, but these ones are very special to me.
Kindest Regards and Seasons Greetings (to the Ghosts of Christmas past, and now)
Chris Johnson now residing on Barnston Gt Dunmow Essex Phone 01371 873799
Thanks in advance, I hope you can fit some of this in, it will help people; remember.

Many thanks for your reply regarding our property search. We use Rightmove and many other property search engines, but thought 'word of mouth' might help and perhaps save on estate agents fees!! ~Thank you again and very impressed with your web site. Sue Cross

Hallo Webmaster, Estelle Sosa left a comment on my profile . How do I access this(her comment). I can't seem to find my way round on here.
I have ancestors going back to the 1500's in Stradbroke... hence my interest in the village.

Thank you for your welcome comment... did you see the twelve photographs and text I added when I first saw the page change? I have not got any more, other than ones provided by other members which are on my website... I thought I would let them add their own images to their new pages.
I have not yet visited Stradbroke, but hope to come along to one of your future Beer Festivals, as my husband Al & I are members of CAMRA.
By the way, I put in some on line requests for music which I have not yet paid for... last time I received an email after the event with details of how I could pay by Bank Transfer... perhaps Marty will read this and it will remind him to email the bill to me.
Looking forward to meeting more 'cousins' on your website - I think it is uniquely fabulous!
