The funeral took place today in Stradbroke for James Grigg, killed on 16 March in action in Afghanistan. The church was packed with family, friends, colleagues from the Vikings and members of the Cricket Club. The service with full military honours included a tribute from Cricket Club Chairman Michael Hugman, a poem written and read by Richard Pierce Saunderson and tributes from James's friends Mark Smith and Robert Varella.

The Funeral of James Grigg will take place on Tuesday 13th April 2010 at 1pm in Stradbroke Church. The family have asked everyone to be seated in the Church by 12.50pm. After the funeral there will be drinks in the Community Centre.

The Final Easter Music Marathon live from the Queen's Head on on Radio Stradbroke is now over!!
We broadcast for 48 hours and raised more then £500 for East Anglia Air Ambulance and Stradbroke Cricket Club - and we had a great time too!

1980 The original Music Marathon
Originally started in The Hempsheaf, Stradbroke (now a house!) starting Midday on Good Friday. Back in those days it ran 24 hours a day with two DJs on and one sleeping at any one time in 3 hour shifts!
If there was a gap between the records the DJ had to pay a fine!

Today is the last day of the 2010 Easter Music Marathon and the last Easter Music Marathon (for a while anyway). Here is the running order:
