White van, two males went down a drive on Wilby Rd and were looking to load scrap into van - when approached offered “business card” vague details mobile phone no etc. They drove off after being challenged. Landrover bodywork stolen from yard: Stradbroke

Neaves Lane, Stradbroke between 6pm 28/06/10 and 5.30am 29/06/10.

Bodywork for a Landrover, including doors, wings and alloy wheels have been stolen from a yard.

Stradbroke pays tribute to James Grigg

The funeral took place today in Stradbroke for James Grigg, killed on 16 March in action in Afghanistan. The church was packed with family, friends, colleagues from the Vikings and members of the Cricket Club. The service with full military honours included a tribute from Cricket Club Chairman Michael Hugman, a poem written and read by Richard Pierce Saunderson and tributes from James's friends Mark Smith and Robert Varella.

James Grigg's Funeral

The Funeral of James Grigg will take place on Tuesday 13th April 2010 at 1pm in Stradbroke Church. The family have asked everyone to be seated in the Church by 12.50pm. After the funeral there will be drinks in the Community Centre.

James Grigg comes home



Repatriation

James Grigg was repatriated today. ITV Anglia covered the return of Private James Grigg from Stradbroke and Lance Corporal Scott Hardy from Chelmsford and who died last Tuesday in Helmand Province. People lined the street in tribute at Wootton Basset in Wiltshire as the two coffins were driven through the town.

Repatriation of James Grigg

The Royal British Legion are reporting that James will be repatriated on Tuesday 23 March, with the cortege passing through Wootton Bassett at approximately 1.45pm. These repatriations are usually covered on 24 Hour News services such as BBC News 24 or Sky News.

Break-ins at Stradbroke Primary School and College

Both Stradbroke Primary School and SBEC (Stradbroke Business and Enterprise College) were broken into last night by burglars.

Melanie Barrow, Head Teacher at Stradbroke Primary School, commented:
